Do it Now! Don't delay or procrastinate and say' I'll get to it later'. A lot of people are really good at things but are afraid to pursue them or take a risk of it not working out or losing what they have so they never get what they want!

If they say lousy and they are a great designer or artist then maybe you should reconsider this field n this economy! Just a thought,lol..

Take classes like in art such as painting, drawing, jewelry design, to see if you can do this and to hone your skill. Yes, you may be good at what you do but..you can always learn from someone else.

  8. Step 8

Seek advice from professionals in your field like merchants. See if they like your work and are willing to pay for it or display it on consignment in their shops.

  9. Step 9

Go to your local SBDC, Small Business Development Center. Ask to speak with an advisor. Tell them your business plans. Ask if they think they are realistic.

  10. Step 10

Take a class at the SBDC. Topics may include 'How to write a Business plan'.

  11. Step 11

After showing it to professionals like at the Chamber of Commerce or Council of the Arts, if an artist, go to your local bank for a loan. You can also try microloans and lending. The Chamber and your local college often offer courses on entrepreneurship and after completing this course or workshop, you may qualify for a microloan.

  13. Step 13

Buy jewelry and art supplies from wholesalers.

  14. Step 14

Start designing, drawing, shooting photography, painting and when you are done. SELL,sell,SELL to whomever you meet. yes, we all are potential customers. Go back to those merchants you met before and see if they will buy from you or let you display your work in their store. Good luck! Believe in YOU! if you do these things and you really have talent and you have hutspa and perserverence, you may just succeed, no matter the economic climate. :)
