Open your logo photograph. If you are promoting your own company and plans to use your company logo, scan it into a computer. Remember this needs to be white logo on black background. You can follow what I am doing by using the photo that I have included for this step.

  3. Step 3

With the move tool active, move the logo into the hand's picture.

  4. Step 4

When the logo is moved into the hand's picture, notice Photoshop creates a new layer and automatically named it layer 1. You can rename layer 1 by double clicking on layer 1 and type in a new name for that layer. In this case, I am renaming the layer "tattoo".

  5. Step 5
    free transform in Adobe photoshop

Now, you should notice that the logo is too large for the hand. So we need to rescale it. Enter the free transform mode, CTRL T. Drag the side handle while holding down shift will rescale the logo while not changing the proportion. Hit enter to accept your modifications. Move the logo into place with the move tool.

  6. Step 6
    screen mode in Adobe photoshop

With the tattoo layer active (when a layer is active, it will be highlighted in the layer's palette), change the blend mode to screen.

  7. Step 7

Here is the final result. Now you have a white logo on the model's hand.

Tips & Warnings
  • This article illustrates the blend mode screen. This blend mode will drop out the darkest color in your layer (black) and keep all of the lightest color (white).
