Transplant Rhubarb Plants
Transplant Rhubarb Plants

It's ideal to transplant rhubarb in the early Spring, just before new growth starts. You can also do it in the Fall if you'd like, just make sure to add some mulch to protect the new transplants from the cold.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • mulch (if it's the Fall)
  • shovel
  • watering can or hose
  • sunny garden area
  1. Step 1

Divide the plants into sections that contain a couple of healthy looking starts.

  2. Step 2

Choose a spot in the garden that gets plenty of sunlight along with good drainage.

  3. Step 3

Replant each section so that the buds are a few inches deep in the soil.

If it's Fall, use some mulch to protect from freezing.

    Water you new transplats.

Enjoy your rhubarb! I'll include a link below to a yummy rhubarb dessert!
