To debate or not to debate. It would appear that is no longer the question this year. The Presidential Debate will go on as planned. And along with it will be all the Presidential Debate Drinking Game festivities that happen throughout college campuses. But you don't have to be in college or even like to get drunk to enjoy this drinking game. All you need are a few key words or phrases and something liquid to drink. Beer, Coke, milk, whatever works for you.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Presidential Candidates
  • A Presidential Debate
  • Keywords
  • Something to drink
  1. Step 1

Call up all your friends and ask them to your Presidential Debate drinking party at your house. When you invite them over, ask them what they would like to drink, so you can have all their favorites chilled when they get to your house. Or if there is ALOT of friends coming over, perhaps you'd like them to BYOD - Bring Your Own Drink - for the Presidential Debate Drinking Game.

  2. Step 2

Serve food - even if it's take out - at your drinking party. No need for anyone to drive home drunk because they hadn't eaten and unfortunately the keyword phrase "failing economy" was mentioned way way too often this evening.

  3. Step 3
    patriotic martini

You can make up your own keywords and phrases.

If you'd like to stay generic with your Presidential Debate Drinking Game, then use simple keywords and phrases like these to know when to take a drink:

    "I disagree"
    "There's a need for change"
"Only my winning the presidency will bring the hope we need".

Perhaps you'd like to up the Presidential Debate Drinking Game ante with two drinks if you anyone mentions John McCain and his support of George W. Bush for re-election 4 years ago. Or Sarah Palin and the moose or caribou from her area. Or Barack Obama and Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Or Joe Biden and his support for ProChoice.

Regardless of what keywords or phrases you use for your drinking party, remember this is a drinking game, and the only goal is to have fun.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you go beyond Milk or Coca-Cola for your Presidential Debate Drinking Game choice-of-drink, PLEASE drink responsibly. If you were to get pulled over by a policeman on your way home from a Presidential Debate Drinking Party, I don't believe "I'm sorry officer, but McCain kept talking about GW Bush so I HAD to keep drinking" would be a very good excuse for why you are drunk at the moment.
  • Don't let anyone get alcohol poisoning simply because the $700 billion bailout key phrase came up nearly 38 times this evening.
  • DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. If you are too drunk to drive home, stay at the party place 'til morning. Or have a designated driver take you home.
