Storing your Canna bulbs for next year is easy and money saving. Why treat these beauties as annuals when you can dig them up and replant next year!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Canna plant
  • Clippers
  • Shovel
  • 1 Pair Panty Hose
  • Small Amount of Dry Peat Moss
  1. Step 1

Chop down all existing foliage to the ground.

  2. Step 2

Dig up the plants root ball and place on soil surface. Wash all soil off with a garden hose.

  3. Step 3

Clip back most of the roots to the bulb. Leave in a sunny spot for about a day to dry out.

  4. Step 4

Once the bulb is dry, place in one leg of the panty hose and pack (VERY loosely) around it some dry peat moss. Tie the panty hose off and hang in a cool dry place for the winter.
