How to Make Photo or Picture Frame Holders Out of Forks

This project is so easy and very inexpensive. It's a wonderful way to recycle and reuse an everyday item and will make your special photos even more so. Read on for this how-to and have fun!

      You can find these forks just about anywhere, thrift shops, flea markets, garage sales. The vintage forks have some really pretty designs, but you may prefer a sleeker look; it's totally up to you.

      Back view - outside prongs

      Using pliers, bend both the outside prongs of forks down and under.

      Bent inside prongs

      Bend the two inside prongs of the forks up into a half-curl. (The lip of this curl is where your framed photo will rest.

      Grasp handle of forks with pliers about 1" from start of handle. Bend both forks the same in a downward motion so that the fork balances on tip of handles and also on the outside prongs. You may have to do a little experimenting to get it just the way you like it. Now, place your photo and you're done!
