Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • olives off a tree, hand picked
  • bowl
  • 5 gallon bucket
  • tap water
  • knife
  • drying board
  • wax paper
  • strainer
  • herbs
  • sea salt or rock salt
  • garlic
  • dry storage container
  1. Step 1

You will need to pick ripe olives from a tree, green or black.

  2. Step 2

Then take a seat because you'll be making an insiscion on each individual olive and placing it in the 5 gallon bucket.

  3. Step 3

Next you will fill the bucket with water, once daily you will need to strain the water from the olives and then fill it up with fresh tap water; you will need to repeat this process for 7 days. On the 7th day drain the water from the bucket again with a strainer.

  4. Step 4

Cover a board or any flat surface with Wax Paper, Pour Olives on top of this flat surface and spread them around.

  5. Step 5

Combine any desired spices or herbs along with sea salt, and garlic in a bowl. Mix then with your hands, then sprinkle it onto your olives as desired.

  6. Step 6

Place your wood or flat surface with the olives on it in the sun for about 2 weeks, or pending on the time of year maybe a few more or less days. You will know when the olives are done becuase they will look a little wrinkly and begin to harden up slightly.

  7. Step 7

They'll be done and ready to eat!Eat as desired and then take the olives you cant eat, due to being stuffed because they taste so delicious and place in a dry container to store for next time.
