Things You'll Need:
- Gardening Gloves
- Hose
- Stiff brush
- Trowel
- Trash can or bag
- Ladder

Step 1
Put on your gloves.

Step 2
Use a sturdy ladder to access the gutters.

Step 3
Use your gloved hands to remove leaves, twigs and other debris from the gutter. Throw into your trash can or bag.

Step 4
Use a stiff brush or trowel to remove excess dirt or debris build up. Throw all debris into trash can or bag.

Step 5
Use your garden hose to clean and unblock downspout. Hold end of hose nozzle into downspout and turn on full force.

on 6/27/2009 You could try a new tool called the Gutter Clutter Buster. This cool tool attaches to a standard 2-1/2" wet/dry vac and sucks every bit of the debris out of the gutters without climbing a ladder.
