How to make Dulce de Leche

Dulce de Leche is a milk based sweet syrup used for dessert by itself or with cakes or fruits. This is a very simple recipe for a very delicious dessert.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A can of sweetened Condensated Milk
  • Medium sized pan
  • Water
  1. Step 1

    Fill the pan with water and place on a stove on high heat. Wait until water is boiling.

  2. Step 2

    Remove all paper wrapping from can. Place can in boilig water.

  3. Step 3

    Remove can after 2 hours. Carefully, open can because it will be very hot. Can will be filled with Dulce de Leche. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to remove all paper or glue remains from can labels
  • When can is removed from boiling water it will be very hot. Be very careful or wait until it is cooler before opening.

When doing this it will take two hours!.
What type of smell will it be and how is the taste of it. I tried to do it with baking soda and milk and salt at vanila at the end. It seemed to smell burned a little. Recipe called for 45 min to thicken while you stired it on med heat?
