Things You'll Need:
- Corel Vector Drawing software.
-
Step 1
Create the object that you wish to join together into one object. In my case I'm going to create a line of text that's sitting on a thin rectangle below it.
-
Step 2
Now that you have the objects you want welded created you need to convert one of those objects into a curve. It doesn't hurt to convert them all into a curve; the quick key to convert into a curve is [CTRL+Q].
-
Step 3
If you had any letters in your text that had an outside and an inside for example an "a" or a lower case "e", and had the inside of them get blocked out when you converted to a curve then you need to combine them back together. To do this select the inside of the letter first then "Holding Shift" select the outside. NOTE: It's easiest to do this in the wireframe mode. Finally combine them with [CTRL+L].
-
Step 4
Now that you have the objects you want converted to a curve and combined together your ready to actually weld them together. Select all the objects you want to weld, either by selecting them while holding shift or by dragging the mouse over all of them. The weld button if it hasn't been moved is on the bottom right of your top toolbar section, and it only shows up when more than one item is selected.
