How to Make a Christmas Cookie Placeholder

Decorating for a Christmas party can be inexpensive and fun. These Christmas cookie placeholders are both. You can use either homemade cookies or the store-bought variety.   • Paper CD envelopes
  • Adhesive gift tags or blank labels

Instructions

      Place one cookie (approximately 4 inches in diameter) inside of a resealable paper CD envelope.

      Seal the envelope.

      Write the name of the recipient on an adhesive Christmas gift tag or blank label.

      Attach the gift tag or label to the top of the envelope.

      Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for as many placeholders as you need.

      Lay each cookie placeholder next to or on top of each plate at your party table.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also decorate the CD envelope with Christmas stamps or stickers before adding the cookie.

  • Use a red CD envelope instead of white.

  • Create cookie placeholders for different occasions by using differently colored envelopes and stickers.
