Instructions

    • 1

Prep your skin. Before you apply any makeup, you want to start with a clean slate. Cleanse your skin and towel-dry it gently. Apply your favorite toner to a cotton ball. Gently apply the toner to your face.

    • 2

Apply face makeup. For a more natural look, use a tinted moisturizer. Allow it approximately 5 to 10 minutes to absorb into your skin. If you find there are other imperfections that aren’t adequately covered, use a concealer. Gently apply the concealer to any blemishes, under-eye circles or other imperfections.

    • 3

Use a face powder to set your makeup. This will ensure that your makeup lasts an optimal amount of time. Use a powder brush to apply a light layer of the powder to your face. If necessary, apply another coat.

    • 4

Put on eye makeup. Since hippies focused on a more natural look, your eye makeup will be simple. Apply a flesh colored eye shadow to your eyelid. If you want more contrast, apply a neutral, medium-toned brown eyeshadow to the crease of your eye. Line your eye with brown eyeliner. Follow up with a coat of brown or black-brown mascara.

    • 5

Give yourself lips that are as simple as the rest of a hippie’s makeup. Apply a nude-colored lip gloss to give your lips a healthy sheen. It should look as natural as possible.

Tips & Warnings

  • For more natural eye makeup, use brown mascara instead of black-brown. This will give your eyes a softer look.
