How to Create a Group in ESPN College Bowl Mania
One of the best features of ESPN College Bowl Mania is the ability to create groups. This allows you to compete against friends and others with common interests. More than 300,000 College Bowl Mania entries are submitted every College Bowl season. It allows you to pick the winners of 32 college games and rank them according to your preference. The higher you rank a winner, the more points you get.

Log on to ESPN College Bowl Mania. If you played ESPN College Pick'em during the regular college football season then your same user name and password will work. If you are new to the game go to the ESPN website and click "College Bowl Mania" under the "Fantasy" heading. Create a user name and password. You will only be allowed to do this a few weeks before the college bowl season when the bowl pairings are set. Once you create a profile you can create and join groups.

Follow the "Create or Join a Group" link next to your user name. This takes you to the group directory. You have the option to search for existing groups or create your own. If you find a public group you want to join, just click on the "Join This Group" link. You are only allowed to be in a three groups at a time. If you want to leave a group, click on the "Leave This Group" link at the top of the page.

Make your own group. Do this by clicking on the "Create a Group" link under "Options." Invent a group name and a group motto. No two groups can have the same name so you may need to pick another if yours is taken. Decide whether your group is public or private. Anyone can join a public group. Only people you invite can join your private group. Private groups require a group password. Create your new group by clicking the "Create Group" button.

Invite your friends to compete against you. Click the "Invite Friends" link to send email invitations. Just enter their email addresses or import them from you email program. Your friends can join your group by responding to your email.

Give your friends your group name if you don't know their email addresses. They can go to the ESPN College Bowl Mania website and create their own profiles. If they know your group name they can join it themselves. If your group is private they must also know your group password. ESPN College Bowl Mania keeps track of results and rankings in real time. It makes watching the college games much more exciting.
