How to Add Real and Silk Flowers to a Spring Wardrobe

Adding real or silk flowers to your spring wardrobe is a great way to celebrate the beautiful season in your own way. You can carry a little bit of nature with you on even the most rainy of days. Flowers have a way of making you feel a bit more cheerful, especially when you need it the most. Here are some very simple ways that you can add real and silk flowers to your spring wardrobe without having to spend a lot of money.

Things You'll Need

• Velcro
• Inexpensive purse
• Real flower
• Faux flower
• 2 safety pins
• Ribbon
• Double-sided tape
• Small real flowers

Instructions

1. Attach a silk flower to an inexpensive purse. Where you adhere it depends on the specific style of the bag, so do a little test first of what would look best before you actually stick it on permanently. Buy a faux flower with a flat back or if it has a stem attached, simply remove it. Put one small square piece of Velcro on the purse and another piece on the back of the flower to attach them.

2. Wear a real flower behind your ear. This looks incredibly beautiful no matter what type of hair or facial structure you have. Not only will you feel sexy, but you’ll also catch a wonderful scent from the bud. Make sure that the colors of the flower complement the colors in your outfit.

3. Attach silk flowers to the back of your shoes. In order to do this you need to make sure that your shoes have an ankle strap on them. Buy a small silk flower that matches your outfit, get two small pieces of ribbon that match the exact color of your shoes and two small pieces of double-sided tape. While you are wearing the shoes, put a piece of double-sided tape on the front of each ankle strap. Wrap the ribbon around the strap, tie a bow in the back and press it down so that it stays securely on the tape. Put a safety pin lengthwise into the back of the flower and attach it to the knot in the bow (not in the strap). Do this on each shoe. It will definitely add an interesting spring touch to your wardrobe.

4. Put real flowers into your spring updo. Put your hair in the updo of your choice then stick small buds, flowers, or bunches of baby’s breath into your hair. It will add a romantic, unusual touch and pull your entire outfit together.
