How to Dress Like Leatherface for Halloween
The horror villain “Leatherface” is one of the most terrifying serial killers around. He was featured in the film series “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” Based loosely on the real-life serial killer Ed Gein, who also enjoyed wearing the skin of his victims, Leatherface gave us a reason to be sure we were never stranded down the back roads of Texas. Now you can scare your friends this Halloween by dressing up as Leatherface.

1
Sew scrap strips of leather together to make your mask. Your stitches do not have to be neat and tidy, in fact, the messier the better. You want the mask to cover your face, but leave holes for your eyes, nose and mouth.
-
2
Poke holes in either side of your leather mask using a needle. Tie string through those holes so you can tie your mask on at the back of your head.
-
-
3
Rub your white shirt and pants in the dirt. You don’t want them to look new and clean. Instead of ruining a brand new shirt and pants, consider buying used ones from a thrift store.
-
4
Drip fake blood onto the front of your brown apron. If you want, you can drip some of the fake blood along your shirt and pants as well to suggest that things got a little too messy and out of hand.
-
5
Put on your pants, shirt and tie before covering with your blood-soaked apron.
-
6
Mess up your hair so you look extra unruly. Carry your plastic chainsaw to complete the look.
