How to Get the Quadra Magic Materia in "Final Fantasy 7"
There are four very powerful secret types of materia in the Playstation role-playing game Final Fantasy 7 that can only be acquired by playing the chocobo breeding mini-game. If you can breed a blue chocobo that can cross rivers, you will be able to access the cave where the Quadra Magic materia can be found.

Reach the point in the game during the second disc where your party takes over the airship called the Highwind.

Go to the Chocobo Ranch and rent three stables from Choco Bill. Buy a few of the items called greens from Choco Bill, and then equip the chocobo lure materia on any one of your current party members.

Land your airship near the amusement park called Gold Saucer and run around on the chocobo tracks that can be found nearby. When you are attacked by a chocobo and two other monsters, throw the greens item at the chocobo and then kill the other two creatures. Send the chocobo back to your rented stables when the battle is over.

Travel to the grassy area near the city of Mideel and capture another chocobo using the same process as before.

Head to the forested area near Bone Village and fight in random battles until you encounter a created called a Vlakarados. Use the steal materia to steal a carob nut item from the monster.

Return to the Chocobo Ranch and breed the two captured chocobos together using the carob nut item, which should produce either a blue or a green chocobo.

Take the newly bred chocobo to the Mideel area and ride it over the river blocking access to the cave to the north. Go inside the cave to find the Quadra Magic materia.

Tips & Warnings
Attach the Quadra Magic materia to an attack spell materia such as lightning or fire to cast the attack spell four times in a row for the same magic point price as just casting it once.
