    • 3

Sponge paint the bottom half of the light bulb with the light pink acrylic paint. Use the sea sponge for this endeavor. Set the screw end of the light bulb into the baby food jar to dry.

    • 4

Sponge paint both sides of the wood hearts with the light pink acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry. Lightly sponge the edges of the hearts with the hot pink acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry.

    • 5

Dip the end of the dowel into the white paint. Dot the eyes one and a quarter inch below the metal screw end of the light bulb. Overlap and dot again below the first dot, creating an oval shape. Allow the paint to dry.

    • 6

Dip the blunt end of the wood skewer into the black acrylic paint. Dot over the white paint at the top of the eye. Allow the paint to dry.

Outline the whites of the eyes and the cheeks with the fine line black permanent marker. Add stitch marks around the outline.

    • 10

Cut a twelve inch length of floral wire for the light bulb pig ornament hanger. Wrap the middle of the wire around the screw end and twist to secure. Bring the ends of the wire together and twist a half inch from the end. Wrap this half inch twist around the wood skewer to curl.

    • 11

Place the points of the wood hearts together. Glue the hearts above the eyes on the light bulb pig ornament for the ears. Glue a small sunflower head between the ears. Glue the pink button to the front of the face for the nose. Allow the glue to dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • If a pink button is unavailable, paint a white button light pink instead.

  • Light bulb ornaments are not quite as fragile once they are painted, but store in tissue paper to protect the paint.
