Do you have unwanted facial hair but don't have time to go to the salon for waxing every time it grows back? There are ways to remove your facial hair at home. Locate your unwanted hair, determine how many hairs you want to remove and select the method that seems to target your hair removal need. Buy products according to your choice of home treatment.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hair removal cream
  • Tweezers
  • Thread
  • Wax
  • Razor and shaving cream
  • Homemade ingredients
  1. Step 1

Test creams. Before using any hair removal cream on your face, test it on a patch of leg hair to check for any type of reaction. Cream should be rubbed on using gloves, left on for 5 minutes and removed with a wet cloth. Hair removal cream can cause the skin to burn and break out. If this occurs, wash it off immediately with soap and water. Try another hair removal method, because this is not for you.

  2. Step 2

Make a homemade mixture. If you are not into plucking, waxing and shaving, there are some natural homemade remedies for removing facial hair. See the Resources section below for facial and body hair removal and homemade recipes.

  3. Step 3

Pluck hairs. Plucking out hairs with tweezers is a good option for few stray hairs, but it can become a time-consuming job if you need to remove a lot of facial hair. Instead, try threading hair away. Threading is similar to tweezing: You use thread or string to pull hairs. It may be more difficult than using tweezers, but also may be less painful for some people. Rolling hair with a special instrument is another way to pluck hairs (see Resource below).

  4. Step 4

Wax it off. Waxing is the better method to use if you need to remove patches of hair at a time. You can apply prepared wax strips, heated wax or use wax rollers (see Resource below).

  5. Step 5

Shave it down with a razor and shaving cream. This is a great way for men to temporarily get rid of facial hair. For women, on the other hand, it is not recommended. Shaving the face will only make more hair re-grow and come back darker. If you start shaving your face, you will be forced to continue or you will be left with shadows and thick hair on the face.
