If you're a gay woman who is just getting into the nudist lifestyle, going to a regulation camp or resort with all types of people might not be your first choice. Finding a camp that caters specifically to women and/or gay women can take a little research, but shouldn't be too difficult, and the results are often worth it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Contact the American Association for Nude Recreation and/or the Naturist Society. The AANR website has a menu of clubs, resorts and camps, sorted by region. Once you choose the region you are interested in, you can go through a menu of different locations, some with links to further information and all with phone numbers to contact. The website for the Naturist Society allows you to search through a networking database for camps by name, location and type.

  2. Step 2

Search carefully online. Be very specific in what you are looking for if you try to use a search engine to find a nudist camp or resort, as typing in those words will bring up quite a few inappropriate and adult-oriented sites. If the option is available, you may want to turn on search-engine filtering to weed out all sites that are for mature audiences only. This will give you a better chance of finding what you want quickly without having to scan through multiple pages of adult sites. If you enter local searches like “Spokane Nudist Camp” (make sure it is in parentheses), you will come up with better responses then if you just try "Nudist Camp."

  3. Step 3

Look in gay/lesbian magazines. Many have classified sections at the back that list travel destinations and vacation getaways, which could include listings of lesbian-specific nudist camps. The majority of magazines also have ads that run through the rest of the magazine as well, advertising restaurants, retail centers and sometimes travel spots. Magazines such as Curve have articles and stories on lesbian-friendly places, and can cover nudist camps and resorts. The Curve website also boasts a travel guide/search engine that can be helpful.

  4. Step 4

Contact other kinds of nudist camps, such as ones for families or singles, and ask if they have information about camps for lesbians. If they don't, they may offer special programs and events at their own facilities.

  5. Step 5

Contact a travel agency that specializes in booking vacations and trips for gay women. Companies such as Olivia Travel and Sweet Travel specialize in vacations for lesbians, while Outgoing Adventures books trips for gay men and women. While these companies mainly advertise cruises and destination vacations, they may be able to help find a nudist camp for you and reserve a stay.
