Try the Petfinder website. Type in "Great Pyrenees" under breed, and Petfinder will do a search in your area for all the dogs and rescue groups with up-to-the-moment available Great Pyrenees.

Contact the Great Pyrenees Rescue Association of Southern California, in Devore, California. They have many Great Pyrenees, from puppies to seniors, who are looking for homes. They know their animals and will guide you to finding your perfect new friend. Adoption fees can run a few hundred dollars.

Step 3
Contact Canine Canyon Ranch. This is a private rescue group that takes in larger dogs from shelters. The groups is devoted to their animals and is a smaller-run organization with a personal touch. They are 2 hours north of Los Angeles in Tehachapi.

Step 4
Contact Sierra Pacific Great Pyrenees Club Rescue in Granite, California. This rescue is located in Northern California and has many dogs available in foster care and in its private kennel. The adoption fee is currently $350.

Try Adopt a Saint--St. Bernard Rescue. Pyr mixes sometimes come through this rescue, located in Orange, California.
