How to Use Revlon Colorstay Mineral Foundation
It seems that virtually every cosmetic line is jumping aboard the mineral makeup craze. Many remain true to the original idea of pure mineral makeup. Some, on the other hand, have mixed minerals together with other typical cosmetic ingredients, additives, preservatives and chemicals. Revlon’s mineral foundation is billed as non-irritating, fragrance-free micronized powder. However, it is much more than that. It is one of Revlon’s ColorStay products, which means that it will provide 12 or more hours of coverage. Best of all, it offers SPF 10 sun protection for the skin. Does this Spark an idea?

Choose the shade of Revlon ColorStay Mineral Foundation that best matches the color of the skin on which the product will be applied. Options include fair, fair/light, light, light/medium, light medium/medium, medium, medium deep and deep.

Thoroughly cleanse the skin using any soap or cleanser of choice. Rinse away all traces of the cleaner. Pat skin dry with a soft towel.

Use any routine skin care system following the instructions provided with the brand chosen. Allow all products to be properly absorbed before moving on to the next step.

Remove the seal on the Revlon’s ColorStay Mineral Foundation. From the underneath side of the container, tap a bit of the product into the container.

Dip the built-in lid brush into the product and swirl it to gather some of the powder into the brush. Tap off any excess powder that didn’t absorb into the brush.

Buff the mineral makeup into the skin. Use gentle, circular motions that move up and around the face.

Apply other makeup products as desired. For the best overall effect, try one of Revlon’s mineral blush options to maintain a pure and natural look and feel.

Use a bit of the mineral powder as a primer for the eye shadow of choice. Dip an eye shadow brush into a bit of the powder, tapping off any excess. Sweep the powder onto the eye from the base of the eyelashes to just beneath the brow.

Apply ColorStay mineral powder as a primer for the lips. Dip a lip brush into the powder, tapping off any excess. Buff the powder lightly into the lips before applying lip color.

Mix a bit of the mineral powder with mineral blush to lighten a shade that doesn't work as expected. Another alternative is to sweep a second coat of mineral powder on top of the cheeks after the blush has been applied.
