    Things You'll Need

    • Flickr photo page
    • Wordpress blog
    • Wordpress blog sidebar enabled
    • Wordpress theme with widgets enabled

Go to your Flickr photo page and scroll all the way down to the bottom. At the foot menu, you'll find options under "Activity," "You," "Explore" and "Help." On the latter, click on "Tools," where you will access different options to work with your photos.

One of them is creating a Flickr photo badge. You will find it on the right side of the page, under "Display Flickr photos or video on your website." The link "Build a badge" will guide you through the process. Click on it.

On the badge page, you will see that you can choose between two options. You can either create an HTML badge that will show a "list" of photos and is very simple, or a Flash badge, which is more elaborate with the photos changing randomly. This badge is more attractive but Flash widgets can give you some trouble in Wordpress. We'll follow with the HTML badge. Click on "Choose content" and select the settings for your badge. Follow the instructions until you have the HTML code for your Flickr photo badge.

Now we'll move to your Wordpress blog dashboard. Once you have logged in and see it, go to your "Design menu." There you will find the "Widgets" section. (Make sure your blog theme has both the sidebar and widgets enabled).Under the list of widgets available for your blog theme, you will find a text option. Click to add it: you'll see it on the right side of the page now.

Now enter a title for your Flickr photo badge and enter the code you grabbed earlier on the field below. Make sure you click on both "Change" and "Save" so Wordpress saves all your changes.

      • 6

Go visit your own site and enjoy the Flickr photo badge on your site!

    Tips & Warnings

    • The Flickr badge on your sidebar will be updated automatically every time you upload new pictures to your Flickr account.

    • You can either have your own photos on the badge or, if you prefer to have random uploads from everyone else, you can do that too.
