Step 1
Picasa logoGo to the Picasa homepage and download Picasa. You do need a Google account to do this. You can sign up for one with a short registration form (see Resources below).

Picasa Uploader for MacsOnce you have successfully downloaded and installed the Picasa application, you will want to download the Mac Uploader (see Resources below).

Click "Share" and "Export"Open your iPhoto application after you have successfully downloaded and installed Picasa and the Uploader. Select the photos you want to share, then click on "Share" then "Export" from the iPhoto navigation bar.

Export photos to PicasaFrom the "Export Photos" window, choose "Picasa Web." At this point you can create a new album and enter some information about the album. If you choose to make your album unlisted, this means that the only people who will ever see it are those you specifically invite. Listed albums can be seen by anyone.

Click "Export" when you have entered the relevant info. A security window will pop up asking you to input your Google account information. Do this and shortly your pictures will be loaded to a new Picasa Web Album.

Step 6
Continue exporting pictures and creating new albums. When you are ready to share your pictures, you can simply send the URL of the particular Picasa album to your friends and family.
