A snowman lightbulb ornament is a unique decoration that can be hung on your Christmas tree, a wreath, or in garland around your home. These cute little crafts made from old lightbulbs are fragile, but make great ornaments. With a few craft materials and a little bit of time, you can learn how to make a snowman lightbulb ornament.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Old lightbulb
  • White craft paint
  • Black craft paint
  • 3 small black buttons
  • Craft glue
  • Thin strip of red or green fabric
  • 2 small twigs
  • Orange craft foam
  • 2 wiggly craft eyes
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon or string
  1. Step 1

Paint the entire surface of an old lightbulb with white craft paint. Let the paint dry before moving onto the next step.

  2. Step 2

Turn the lightbulb upside down and glue two wiggly craft eyes to the front of the lightbulb in the thinner part of the bulb.

  3. Step 3

Cut a small carrot shape out of orange craft foam, and glue it to the lightbulb under the two eyes as a nose.

  4. Step 4

Use black craft paint to make a smiley face mouth underneath the orange nose.

  5. Step 5

Glue two small twigs to the sides of the lightbulb as arms. Be careful when you press them into the glue so that you do not shatter the lightbulb.

  6. Step 6

Attach three small black buttons with glue in a line to the front of the lightbulb, as buttons for the snowman.

  7. Step 7

Wrap a thin strip of red or green material around the neck of the lightbulb snowman ornament, and tie it in a knot at the front of the lightbulb to secure it.

  8. Step 8

Glue a piece of ribbon or string to the very top of the snowman's head to hang it up with.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make a small red hat for the top of your snowman's head to add decoration to your snowman and to cover up the tip of the lightbulb.
  • Use caution when working with a lightbulb sot hat you do not shatter it and cut yourself.
