How to Delete Applications From an iPod Touch
Thanks to the iPod Touch 2.0 Software Update, iPod Touch users can install third-party applications. But sometimes after a day or so, you will find that you don't want a certain application on your iPod anymore. If so, you can delete applications from an iPod Touch, both through iTunes and through the iPod.
Things You'll Need
- iPod Touch with software 2.0 or later
- iTunes version 7 or later
- Mac or PC
- USB transfer cable

How to Delete Applications Through iTunes

Go to the "Applications" tab on the left iTunes menu bar, which is located in the "Library" section.

Select the application or applications that you wish to delete from your iPod. Use the shift key to select more than one application.

Press the delete key on your keyboard, click "Remove" and then click "Move Files to the Trash."

Attach your iPod Touch to your computer with the iPod USB transfer cable.

When your iPod Touch is done syncing, the deleted applications will no longer appear on your iPod.
How to Delete Applications Through the iPod Touch

Hold your finger over the application you wish to delete until all icons begin shaking. A small "X" will appear above all applications that can be deleted (some are permanently installed).

Click the "X" button above the application you wish to delete.

Click "Delete" to confirm the action and the application's icon will disappear.

Repeat Steps 1-3 to delete any additional applications. Applications must be deleted one at a time on the iPod Touch.

Tips & Warnings
Only third-party applications can be deleted. The Apple applications that were originally installed on the iPod Touch cannot be deleted.
