A 35-minute scenic ferry ride from downtown Seattle to this charming island offers a delightful day trip. From the terminal at Eagle Harbor, it's a short walk to Winslow Way. Arts and craft shops, a gourmet market, eclectic bistros and outdoor cafes are a few of the attractions inviting you to linger awhile. Locals refer to the slower pace as "island time," an escape from the hectic city life across Puget Sound. Beaches, parks, marinas and miles of biking trails keep the island busy on weekends and holidays.
