Things You'll Need:

  • 3 to 5 yards of 3/4 inch black and orange ribbons
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Cut a 6- to 8-inch piece of black ribbon. Tie a knot in the middle. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

Line up the black and orange ribbon ends. The black should be on top.

  3. Step 3

Pinch both ribbons between your thumb and forefinger about 4 inches from the end.

  4. Step 4

Form a 2 1/2- to 3-inch loop. Twist the ribbon and form a loop directly opposite the first one.

  5. Step 5

Continue pinching, twisting and forming loops until you have eight sets of loops. Hold them all firmly.

  6. Step 6

Pick up the knotted black ribbon with your other hand. Pull the black ribbon around the center of the mass of loops.

  7. Step 7

Tie the black ribbon tightly to hold the bow together. Cut the ribbon ends to match the first 4-inch ends.
