How to Make a Christmas Floral Arrangement in a Gift Bag

A floral arrangement is an excellent hostess, teacher, thank you or last minute Christmas gift. Make it even more special by using a decorative gift bag for the container. Consider putting together several of these inexpensive silk arrangements to have on hand for the Christmas season.

Things You'll Need

• Floral foam
• Container
• 6-inch gift bag
• Silk poinsettia
• Silk roses or other flowers
• Wire cutters
• Scissors
• Metallic chenille stems (optional)
• Pine cones on wire (optional)
• Ornaments (optional)
• Bow (optional)

Instructions

1. 

   Prepare foam in a plastic container that will fit into the bag you have chosen. Set down into bag.

2. 

   Cut up a bush or several stems of small poinsettia silk flowers. Insert stems into the foam around the entire area.

3. 

   Cut up a small rose bush or other complementary flower. Start by placing 3 blossoms at a time into the arrangement.

4. 

   Continue adding flowers to fill in the arrangement to the desired effect. Add a metallic chenille stem and coil it for a decorative touch. Add a few into the foam.

5. Add small pine cones that are attached to wired sticks, tiny ornaments and a bow if desired.

Tips & Warnings

• Make sure the flowers are not too large so the bag does not tip over.

• You can also use this method to make a fresh floral arrangement for a buffet table.
