Things You'll Need:
- Foundation and undereye concealer
- Brow pencil or powder
- Matte eyeshadow in a light blush tone
- Eyeshadow blending brush
- Eyelash curler
- False eyelashes
- Waterproof black mascara
- White eyeliner
- Flesh tone highlighter
-
Step 1
Apply foundation on lids and underneath eyes. To open eyes, it is essential that there are no dark shadows on or around them. Pat on concealer a notch or two lighter than your skin tone if necessary.
-
Step 2
Clean up and define eyebrows. Get rid of any strays and trim the ends of too-long hairs. Fill brows in with brow pencil or powder to get rid of any sparseness between hairs. Strong glamour-style eyebrows are not necessary, although you do want to define the arches a little bit to give you a wide-eyed look.
-
Step 3
Use only one eyeshadow color. All you need is a matte formulation in a light blush tone that you apply from lash lines all the way to the browbone. Application should be sheer, with any obvious lines buffed away using an eyeshadow blending brush.
-
Step 4
1960s false eyelashesCurl lashes to further open eyes up. Put on a pair of false 1960s-style eyelashes. You aren't aiming to simply increase the volume of your lashes, but to make them look fluttery and long in an exaggerated display of innocence. Apply waterproof black mascara to lower lashes to balance out your top and bottom eyelids.
-
Step 5
Run a white eyeliner along the insides of your lower lash lines for wider eyes. A flesh tone highlighter subtly blended in at the inner corners of your eyes polishes off your foray into doe-eyed territory.
