Step 1
Try the easy ones first. Check the phone book or call directory assistance and ask for the phone number of the person you are trying to reach.

Try finding his number under his business name, if he has one. Sometimes people have themselves listed as a business and not their home phone number.

Type her name into an Internet search engine. This will generally yield several responses. Depending on how much information you have on the person, you may be able to find them online. Sometimes people will have inadvertently entered their name and phone number in something, not realizing it is available to people online.

Look up a business on the Internet whose sole purpose is finding people’s phone numbers. They generally charge for their services and they will most likely be able to locate anyone through their methods. They go through millions of records and all states to try and locate a person.

Go to a private investigator, who has his own ways of locating a person.
