Instructions

  1. Making the Flowers

    • 1

Lay out a sheet of tissue paper (about 8- by 10-inches to 10- by 12-inches) and begin folding it about an inch from the edge, flipping it over, and folding it again the same way (like you would a paper fan). Continue doing this until the entire fan has been folded and is a long narrow piece of paper.

    • 2

Repeat Step 1 using different colors of tissue paper until you have about 20 pieces of folded paper.

    • 3

Take 5 sheets of folded paper and unfold them each one by one. Lay these 5 sheets on top of each other, fitting them onto each other like puzzle pieces.

    • 4

Lay the top 2 inches of a pipe cleaner in the middle of the stacked papers on top. Glue the tip of it in place and let dry.

    • 5

Pull both edges of your stacked tissue paper around the pipe cleaner and glue the edges in place (making somewhat of a circle. Let dry.

    • 6

Wrap the pipe cleaner one time around the bottom of the papers, making the tissues create a funnel-like shape.

    • 7

Fan out the tissue paper so that it creates a "flower."

    • 8

Repeat Steps 3 through 7 until you have about 4 to 5 flowers. Bunch the completed flowers together and secure them by wrapping a rubber band around the pipe cleaners.

    Making the Vase

    • 9

Use aluminum foil to wrap around the toilet paper roll and secure in place using either a stapler or glue. If you're using glue, let it dry.

    • 10

Use another small piece of aluminum foil to cover the hole on one side of the toilet paper roll (to prevent the flowers from falling out of the bottom) and secure using a stapler or glue (once again, if using glue, let dry).

    • 11

Place your bouquet of flowers in the "vase."
