How to Transfer Photos to a CD
Digital technology has made our lives increasingly easier. With the advent of digital cameras, we are in charge of which photos we keep, how our pictures get developed and how they are stored. Following are some simple guidelines on how to transfer your pictures from the computer to a CD. For the guidelines that follow we will use the Windows Photo Gallery program.
Instructions

1
Open Windows Photo Gallery. To the left is a listing of all pictures and videos. Select the file that contains the photos you want to transfer to CD.
-
2
After having clicked on the file, the photos will display to the right of the listing. Holding down the Ctrl button, click those pictures you wish to transfer. Once you are sure you have all the pictures selected, click on the "burn'" option in the tool bar along the top of the window.
-
-
3
When you click the "burn" icon, there will be two choices that drop down below. One is "data disc ..." or "video DVD ... " Select "data disc."
-
4
A window will pop up and prompt you to insert a disc. After you have loaded the disc, click the "burn" icon again. The program will start transferring the file to the disc.
-
5
The session will close itself out before the CD can be ejected from the drive. Watch and make sure there is a prompt or window that comes up explaining this process. If not, when the CD is ejected, the pictures will not be on it.
