1
Purchase a pre-made straw wreath at your local craft store. Open the eucalyptus bundles and clip the stems into sections that are approximately 6 to 7 inches long.
-
2
Attach the end of a spool of wire to the straw wreath by wrapping around the wreath and twisting to secure the wire. Grasp a bundle of stems in your left hand and hold in place against the base of the wreath. Hold the wire spool in your right hand between you and the straw wreath.

3
Wrap the wire over the bottom 1-inch of stems inserting the wire through the middle of the wreath. Lift the bottom of the wreath slightly with your left hand. Drop the spool and roll it under the bottom toward you. Grasp the spool on the other side of the wreath and bring it toward you. Pull taut to secure the stems. Add bundles to the sides of the wreath following the same procedure to cover all areas of the wreath with one row of eucalyptus.
-
4
Add a second row of eucalyptus by grasping a bundle of stems in the left hand and placing on the straw base so that the ends fall 2 to 4 inches past the last bundle. You will be working left to right. The leafy end of the bundle will overlap the first bundle by several inches. Alter the distance between the point where you attach stems to alter the fullness of the wreath. Closely spaced bundles will make a fuller wreath. Spacing further apart will create a thinner wreath.
-
5
Secure the bundles with wreath wire following the prior procedure. Continue to work your way around the wreath maintaining the same spacing throughout the project. Complete the wreath by lifting the leafy end of the starting point and tucking the ends of the last bundle under the leaves. Secure in place and fluff the leaves.

6
Add a decorative bow by wiring it to the base. Embellish with decorative items, dried flowers, or cones, if desired.
