Things You'll Need:
- 2 clothespins
- Hot glue sticks
- Hot glue guns
- 2 wiggly craft eyes
- Small red craft pompom
- Brown craft paint
- Black craft paint
- Paintbrush
- Red ribbon
-
Step 1
Paint the entire surface of two clothespins with brown craft paint. Coat the clothespins in a second layer of paint if you can still see through the first layer. Let the paint dry completely before moving onto the next step.
-
Step 2
Turn one clothespin upside down, with the end that pinches open pointing down. This will be the reindeer face.
-
Step 3
Glue the face clothespin to the front of a clothespin that has the end that pinches open facing up (body and legs). The face clothespin should be hot glued to the front, but towards the top of the body clothespin. When you are done gluing, you should have the face of the reindeer where the two pinching parts of the clothespins are layered, two legs that point down and two antlers that point up.
-
Step 4
Paint two black hooves on the bottom of the two reindeer legs that are pointing down.
-
Step 5
Hot glue two wiggly craft eyes to the front of the reindeer's face. This is the area below the two antlers that are pointing up.
-
Step 6
Use hot glue to attach a small red craft pompom nose to the front of the reindeer, below the wiggly craft eyes.
-
Step 7
Tie or glue a loop of red ribbon to the back of the clothespin reindeer to hang it up on your Christmas tree, wreath or garland (see Resources).
