Things You'll Need

  • Iron
  • Fusible webbing
  • Cloth table napkins or vintage handkerchiefs
  • Old sofa pillows that need recovering

      Cut fusible webbing in pieces the same size as the napkins you are using for the front and back of the pillow. The napkins must be a little larger than the old pillows.

      Place the webbing against the wrong side or inside of the fabric napkin. Following directions on the webbing's package, fuse the two layers to one side of the old pillow using the iron.

      Repeat for the pillow's other side.

      Make certain all the pillow's edges are fused together neatly. Use more webbing if necessary to fuse the edges. Trim away any excess webbing when you are finished.
