Instructions

    • 1

Show your creative side. Take some photographs of beautiful fall foliage on your digital camera. Have the photos developed to poster size, so they can be framed. Display the fall-themed photo in your office.

    • 2

Cover your tables with a fall tablecloth. You can do this inexpensively by buying fabric at the fabric store instead of purchasing a tablecloth. Fold under the ends or hem them, so you can't see the edges of the material. Try using fall colors, such as burnt orange or mustard yellow. Another option is to find an interesting fall pattern, such as a pumpkin or leaf design.

    • 3

Place a basket on the table in your office full of miniature pumpkins and squash. This immediately makes people think of fall, and will give an autumn feel to the room.

    • 4

Add a candle with a fall scent. This way, your office not only looks like fall but also smells like fall. Try a scent like spiced pumpkin or apple cinnamon. Alternatively, try a woody scent such as citrus bergamot.

    • 5

Place a fall flowering plant on your desk or on a table in your office. There are actually plants that bloom in the fall season. Try a begonia escargot flowering plant or an abutilon bella apricot plant with pretty orange flowers.

    • 6

Put some fall-themed paintings or small photos on the walls of your office. You can purchase such paintings at an art festival or art show. Closer to Thanksgiving, try paintings of ships or pilgrims.

    • 7

Display some scary items when Halloween comes around. During October, you can use orange and black as the color theme, adding fake jack-o-lanterns and a stuffed witch on a broomstick for added Halloween flair.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep in mind that this is a professional office. Make sure your decorations are tasteful and do not offend clients or coworkers.
