From Quick Guide: Wholesale Jewelry Guide
Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Jewelry (rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets)
  • Digital camera
  • Printer paper
  • Small jewelry boxes and shipping supplies
  1. Step 1

Locate a wholesale resource from where you will purchase your jewelry. Call several jewelry distributors until you find the one that meets your needs. Find distributors who are willing to combine shipping or even ship bulk orders. This will save money. Purchase the jewelry in bulk so you can acquire the jewelry closest to wholesale cost.

  2. Step 2

Set up a home office with a computer and telephone so you can take your jewelry orders. Set up a table so you can organize orders, and pack and ship your jewelry to customers.

  3. Step 3

Create a website that will display the jewelry you are selling, such as rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Leave contact information so that buyers may contact you when they want to place an order.

  4. Step 4

Take closeup pictures of the jewelry you are selling, then upload the photos onto your website. Print pictures of the jewelry, and create flyers and brochures for the jewelry you want to sell. Promote your business by offering customers a certain percentage off or free items with their first order.

  5. Step 5

Print off flyers to display on bulletin boards in your local area. Be sure to include information on the sizes and color options with the jewelry you will be selling. Included contact information on the flyers for the customers to be able to reach you.

  6. Step 6

Take jewelry orders from the comfort of your home office. Follow up promptly, and package and ship the jewelry within 24 hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to ask permission from store or business owners before posting ads or brochures in their establishment for selling your jewelry.
