Step 1
Start at the top of the wall and work your way down. If you start at the top of the wall, any cleaning solution that drips will fall on areas of the wall that are still dirty. The best way is to work quickly in small areas with a rung-out sponge or cloth.

Use a white, beige, or colorfast cloth. Some dye in colored cloths may stain your walls.

Wiping walls dry will prevent streaks. Use cotton towels if you can.

Baseboards are normally the dirtiest part of the wall. Wash them last and follow with a dry, clean cloth.
