1. Sell your old gold. It's worth a lot right now so if you have broken chains, bracelets, earrings you don't like or wear anymore look into this option. Many local jewelers are now buying your old gold and they will weigh it and pay you for it right on the spot. Stay away from mail order gold buyers. You have no way of knowing if what they give you for your gold is the honest value.

2. Go through your clothes closet. If you have lots of professional clothing, dresses, formal wear or suits that you no longer wear for whatever reason, take them to a consignment or resale shop. If they are in good condition you'll get more money for them than if you sold them at a garage sale. Many resale shops will also take furniture pieces that are in good condition. Do some research.

3. Sell stuff you no longer use on EBay. Maybe you just digitized your CD collection and no longer need all those discs or you just have a lot of stuff. Decide on what you no longer need, do some research on EBay to see if what you have is in demand and if it is, list it! Just make sure you list it at comparative prices. If you overprice because you're a little greedy you'll find yourself wasting money on listing fees for items that won't sell.
