Step 1
If you can't keep your cutting boards and jelly roll sheets and cookie sheets from sliding down in your cabinet try using inexpensive tension rods as dividers. They come in many lengths so if you have a cabinet without a middle shelf you can get a longer length to fit from top to bottom of your cabinet. They are also so thin that it still leaves you plenty of room for pots, pans and lids.

Step 2
Ice cube trays and small children sized shoe boxes that can be covered in pretty gift wrap makes great dividers and holders for your utensil drawer. Use the ice cube trays for corn cob knobs, spare wine corks and twine. Use the shoe boxes to keep spatulas separated from spoons.
-
Step 3
Use rubber shelf liner in between pots and pans. It can be trimmed easily and will keep down the noise level when searching for pots and keeps them from getting scratched up. Consider tossing all of your multi-sized lids and pick up one or two one-size-fits-all lids to save on space.

Step 4
Keep only the appliances you use on a daily basis on your counter. Things like your coffee maker, your toaster, your electric can opener for example. Everything else should be stored in an easily accessible cabinet.
