    Things You'll Need

    • pair of jeans
    • scissors
    • pencil
    • hair brush
      • 1

You might want to start with an old pair of jeans that you don't care about, instead of a brand new pair of hot designer jeans. Start with a pair of jeans that fit you comfortably. Put them on, and make marks with a pencil in the areas that you want to rip while they are still on you.

      • 2

Remove the jeans. Use a pair of sharp scissors to cut slits where your pencil lines are. Once you are satisfied that you have placed your "rips" where you want them, you are ready to move onto step three.

      • 3

Use a nylon hair brush and brush the rips in the jeans. This will cause them to fray, creating that sexy, distressed worn look. The more you brush, the more they will fray. Brush until you are satisfied. Putting them in the dryer for a tumble will also help the fraying progress.

Wash your jeans and dry them. They should be perfectly worn, and perfectly sexy and ripped. They will feel like you've had them forever, and the best part is, they're custom designed just for you. People will think that you bought them at a designer clothing store.
