Step 1
Choose gold or silver – Gold is a more traditional metal, while silver is considered to be contemporary. Decide which style your man would be most comfortable wearing. You want to choose something that will most comfortable blend with the style he already has, especially if he’s not accustomed to wearing fashion rings.
-
Step 2
Choose a finish – Shiny or matte? Again, this is going to come down to whether or not your man is a more traditional dresser, or enjoys a more contemporary look. A matte finish is definitely a more modern finish, but shiny is always in style.
-
Step 3
Choose a style – Many rings have embossed or raised embellishments, a circle of jewels or one or two stones. If it’s just a fashion ring you’re looking for, the diamonds or other stones aren’t really necessary. For a man, reserve the extras for a more purposeful ring, like a wedding ring.
-
Step 4
Present the ring to your man in a way equal in casualness as the ring is in style. It’s only a fashion ring, so for instance, you wouldn’t present it over an expensive candlelit dinner or down on one knee. Wrap it in a little box and leave it on the dresser. Or hand it to him saying something like, “Honey, look what I found while I was out the other day. I think it would look so good on you.”
