Things You'll Need:
- 6 French artisan style rolls
- 4 lbs chuck roast beef (chunks)
- 2/3 cup soy sauce
- 24 oz. beer
- 1 beef bouillon cube (may substitute chicken bouillon)
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp oregano
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 6 cups water or enough to cover meat

Step 1
In a bowl, mix the seasonings soy sauce, beef bouillon cube, thyme, oregano, and garlic powder.

Add in the beef and mix well the meat with the seasoning.

Pour the meat and seasoning mix into the slow cooker pot. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.

Step 4
Add the bay leaves and water. Cook on low in slow cooker for 8-10 hours.

Step 5
Place desired amount of meat in a roll. Shred the meat gently with a fork. Serve au ju sauce in individual bowls per serving to dip.
