This is an easy crock pot beef recipe that yields a delicious meal for the entire family!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 French artisan style rolls
  • 4 lbs chuck roast beef (chunks)
  • 2/3 cup soy sauce
  • 24 oz. beer
  • 1 beef bouillon cube (may substitute chicken bouillon)
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 6 cups water or enough to cover meat
  1. Step 1

    In a bowl, mix the seasonings soy sauce, beef bouillon cube, thyme, oregano, and garlic powder.

  2. Step 2

    Add in the beef and mix well the meat with the seasoning.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the meat and seasoning mix into the slow cooker pot. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Add the bay leaves and water. Cook on low in slow cooker for 8-10 hours.

  5. Step 5

    Place desired amount of meat in a roll. Shred the meat gently with a fork. Serve au ju sauce in individual bowls per serving to dip.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add sliced white button mushrooms to step #4 for savory mushroom side dish.
