One month old are babies are still pretty new to the world. Here are some things they enjoy!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bouncer
  • Swing
  • Rocking chair
  • Boppy pillow
  1. Step 1

Bouncers are great toys to entertain little ones. They especially love the musical ones! Make sure to buckle in your infant.

  2. Step 2

Play mats with hanging toys to look at can be good at first and then later on use them to practise gross motor coordination of their arms and legs. They will first accidently hit the items and then try to more purposefully get them. Good items to hang include toys with high contrast, mirrors, lights, or toys that make sounds.

  3. Step 3

Boppy pillows are good to prop a baby upright to see the world!

  4. Step 4

Any age loves swings! Good for a fussy baby. Make sure to buckle in your infant.

  5. Step 5

A pair of arms to cuddle in is always a winner!

  6. Step 6

Rocking chairs and tightly wrapped blankets provide a sense of security.

  7. Step 7

Little ones like the contrast between light and dark. Turn on different lights for them to look at.

  8. Step 8

A walk outside with the fresh air, new sights, and sounds will catch their attention.

  9. Step 9

Take them on tours of the house showing them each room and talking to them.

  10. Step 10

Infants like their caregivers full attention and to be pampered. Talk, sing, or hum to them. Give them a massage with baby lotion. Comb their hair. Rub their feet. Life is good when you are little!
