Here's how to move your Dock to the left, right, or bottom of your screen in Macintosh OS X.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the Apple Menu at the very top left of the screen.

  2. Step 2

In the Apple Menu, select "System Preferences..."

  3. Step 3

In the System Preferences pane that appears, click once on the Dock icon at the top middle of the window.

  4. Step 4

In the Dock preferences pane, click on one of the three round buttons next to the words "Left", "Bottom", "Right".

Each button changes the position of the Dock on your screen.
