How to make white chocolate cream cheese buttercream frosting

  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixer
  • Microwave safe bowl
  • Rubber spatula
  • Whisk
  • 9 ounces baker's white chocolate
  • 12 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 6 ounces unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

      Melt the chocolate for one or two minutes in a microwave-safe bowl.

      Stir the chocolate with the whisk until completely smooth. Let cool for five minutes.

      Beat the cream cheese with the mixer on high until smooth.

      Gradually beat the melted chocolate into the cream cheese until well-incorporated.

      Add the unsalted butter to the cream cheese mixture and beat until smooth. Add the lemon juice and beat for one or two more minutes.

Tips & Warnings

  • When using unsalted butter, I find that the Land O' Lakes butter is best.

  • Always use caution when handling heated chocolate!
