How to Play Blackjack

Blackjack is a very easy game to learn and one of the most popular games in casinos across the country. In Blackjack
a well played game has a house edge of 1% or less. Tilt the odds in your favor by first learning the basics of the game.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Card Decks
  • Instructions
  • Strategy Card
  1. Step 1

    Object Blackjack
The object of Blackjack(also known as 21)is to not go over 21 points.
If the player goes over 21 they bust(lose). If the player goes over 21 and the dealer also goes over 21 both bust and the player still loses.

  2. Step 2

Players are dealt 2 cards face up. The dealer is dealt 2 cards, one
    face up, one face down.

  3. Step 3

Players either split pairs, double down, stand or hit at any
given time in each Blackjack Game.

  4. Step 4

Double Down(double your bet)when you think your hand has a chance to beat the dealers hand. Doubling Down will not assure you a win. Although, Doubling Down will increase the chance you will win more money.

  5. Step 5

Split Pairs when you have two cards of the same value (two 8's, two
face cards, etc.,) Splitting cards will increase the odds you will
beat the dealers hand because you are playing two hands. When
you split pairs remember you must place an equal bet on both of
    your hands.

  6. Step 6

Hit means the player will take another card.

  7. Step 7

Stand on 17 and over. The player usually will stand when they
think their cards will beat the dealers cards. Also, remember, you
don't want to go over 21 or bust.

  8. Step 8

Insurance. When the dealers up card is an Ace, the player may
opt to take insurance. Insurance is a bet the dealer has a
10 card which would make a blackjack hand. Insurance pays
    2-1.

Tips & Warnings
  • In order to consistently win many players learn to count cards or use a Black Jack Strategy Card.
