Breakfast Burritos, cowboy style!
Breakfast Burritos, cowboy style!

Okay, I love breakfast burritos. I like making them, eating them, thinking about them.. everything. In this article I'm going to provide my own, original, cowboy recipe for Breakfast Burritos. Trust me, these are the best.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A cowboy attitude. Watch a gritty Western film if you need to learn how to obtain this attitude.
  • Frying pans
  • Sausage
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Monterey Jack Cheese
  • Green Bell Pepper
  • 8 inch Flour Tortillas
  • your favorite Salsa
  • Bologna
  • Bacon
  • Olive Oil
  • Butter
  • A Cowboy Hat to wear while you're cooking this massive feast
  1. Step 1

Okay this is going to be fantastic for you and anybody that gets to enjoy these burritos. First, break three eggs into a small mixing bowl and beat em up with a fork or whisk.

  2. Step 2

Add 1/8 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons of whole milk to the bowl with the eggs in it. Throw on a Johnny Cash record after you do this. It'll totally set the mood for what's to come.

  3. Step 3

Heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of butter in a medium, nonstick skillet, over medium-high heat.

  4. Step 4

In a frying pan start frying some bacon. Doesn't matter what kind.. your favorite bacon. Cook it as you normally would.

  5. Step 5

Get a half pound of breakfast sausage and crumple it all up into the pan. Cook it right up! Stir it constantly to break the sausage into bite-size pieces.

  6. Step 6

Add a little bit of pepper to the sausage while you cook it. Use your judgement based on your own tastes.

  7. Step 7

In a seperate frying pan begin frying some bologna.

  8. Step 8

Go back to your pan with the sausage, continue to stir it around. Cook it until there is NO pink left.

  9. Step 9

Add 1/4 cup of chopped green bell peppers to the pan that has the sausage in it.

  10. Step 10

Fry your bologna on both sides the way you like it.

  11. Step 11

Take your fried bacon and chop it or pull it apart into small pieces. Add it to the pan with the sausage.

  12. Step 12

Take the fried bologna from the other pan and add it to the pan with the sausage, green peppers, and bacon. Cook this up, stirring together for 30 seconds to a minute.

  13. Step 13

Add the eggs to the pan and cook this cowboy feast right on up! This is the best. You'll love the results. Keep stirring constantly with a big spoon or fork. It should only take about 30 seconds or so to get the eggs the way you want them.

  14. Step 14

Sprinkle a 1/4 cup of grated monterey jack cheese over the whole batch in the pan. Instantly remove the pan from the stove. Let it set for about 30 seconds or so until the cheese is good and melted.

  15. Step 15

Sprinkle some more salt and pepper on top of it all if you think it needs it.

  16. Step 16

Get a spoon and fill up your tortilla.

  17. Step 17

Get some salsa and lightly cover the top of the filling.

  18. Step 18

Roll up the tortilla, burrito-style and place seam side down on a plate to keep the burrito closed.

  19. Step 19

That's it! You're all done. Tell me after you make it that this isn't the best breakfast burrito you've ever tasted.. it's the best.

Tips & Warnings
  • Time it out right so that your bologna gets fried up right as your sausage is done. The bologna shouldn't take but 2-3 minutes to fry on both sides real good. Cook the bologna in cooking oil and keep the heat a little past medium.
  • After eating several of these burritos (which you will do because they are fantastic and addicting), you may want to drink a few gallons of water to avoid feeling weak and dehydrated.
  • If you don't like burritos or tortillas.. try this same recipe on fried toast!
  • I am not responsible for any health problems that arise after eating my cowboy style breakfast burritos. Balance this meal out with running 10 miles later in the day.
