A quick and tasty way to whip up some barbecue sauce when you run out!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups Catsup
  • Worchestire to taste
  • Pancake syrup to taste
  • Garlic salt to taste
  • black pepper (optional)
  • tabasco sauce (optional)
  1. Step 1

First, pour the catsup in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Step 2

Add about 1/2 cup of syrup and stir well. Now sprinkle in about one teaspoon of garlic salt. Take a small teaspoon and taste. Now add the worchestire sauce until you reach the flavor you are looking for.

  3. Step 3

Simmer for about ten minutes on low heat. If you prefer spicy barbeque sauce, add some black pepper and hot sauce to taste. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, add more syrup. Simmer about five minutes longer.

  4. Step 4

Use for chicken, pork, beef, venison, etc.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use Maple syrup, cane syrup, etc. just know that the taste will be slightly different.
  • Experiment with other spices like cumin and chili powder for a zestier, ranchero type of barbeque sauce.
  • Can be used as a marinade by adding one cup water to sauce and blending well.
  • Warning: Your taste buds may never like store bought barbeque sauce again!
