Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Start the engine and let it to run for a few minutes to allow the air to cool. Double check the controls to make sure the correct buttons are selected. This may seem simplistic, but human error could be to blame.
-
Step 2
Adjust the climate controls. If the climate controls do not feel right, then the problem is probably in the control panel. If the controls feel fine, but have no effect on the air then it is probably a blown fuse. If you cannot hear the accompanying blowing sound when the air is turned from low to high, then the problem is in the blower motor.
-
Step 3
Find the interior fuse box in a Mitsubishi 3000GT under the dashboard on the driver's side. Open the driver's door and pry off the trim panel to the left of the steering wheel.
-
Step 4
Disconnect the negative battery cable before getting to the control panel. Set the parking brake and put the gear shift to neutral. Starting toward the front of the vehicle, pry off the panel surrounding the gear shifter to find the control panel. Remove the screws holding it into place and unplug the electrical connectors before removing.
-
Step 5
Remove the blower motor if it is not properly working after disconnecting the negative battery cable. Open the glove box door and remove the clips to pull the glove box out. Find the blower motor behind the glove box. Unscrew it and remove it.
